“The Color Is” a fashion exhibition created by internationally acclaimed multi-disciplinary artist Nick Cave and his brother fashion designer Jack Cave bring a once-in-a -lifetime collection of avant-garde and haute couture inspired fashion to the Roundhouse of the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center.
The DuSable Museum is the first museum in the world to ever exhibit Nick Cave’s and Jack Cave’s fashion objects. On view August 27, 2022-December 11, 2022, in partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and the groundbreaking retrospective exhibition “NICK CAVE: FOROTHERMORE” (May, 2022 through October, 2022) ,and at The Guggenheim Museum November 18, 2022-April 10, 2023 The DuSable Museum is the first museum in the world to ever exhibit Nick Cave’s and Jack Cave’s “fashion objects.”
