MLK Day of Service: We are One!

January 19, 2026 - January 19, 2026; 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

MLK Day of Service

“We Are One: Celebrating Beloved Community”

Celebrate unity and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a meaningful day of service, connection, and inspiration. This special community gathering invites individuals and families to come together in the spirit of love, service, and collective impact.

As part of the day, volunteers are encouraged to support those in need by donating new, warm winter items, including hats, gloves, scarves, hoodies, coats, socks, and blankets. Together, we can help keep our community warm this winter.

Event Location

DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center
740 East 56th Place
Chicago, IL 60637

📍 Donations may be dropped off at the Main (North) Entrance.

Prefer to donate online? Contributions can also be made through Amazon here. All winter item donations will benefit Wendell Phillips High School.
