With the theme of rebirth and “RENAISSANCE” in mind, the Department of Curatorial Services and Community Partnerships has curated a two-day  experience commemorating the new era of The DuSable Black History Museum and EducationCenter, honoring artists Nick Cave and Jack Cave with closing ceremonies for THE COLOR IS: FASHION EXHIBITION.

 

THE COLOR IS: RENAISSANCE WEEKEND is a fun and inclusive fundraiser for the DuSable Museum, the oldest independent Black History museum in the nation.  The Curatorial and Community Partnerships Department is intentionally working to mobilize future impactful, curated exhibitions and culturally invested arts programming.

Your commitment and generosity is an investment in the preservation, conservation, and documentation of Black History for generations to come.

Your giving will go directly towards supporting curated arts and cultural experiences, constructing an arts residency program at the museum, and building bridges for our department to create new community partnerships locally and globally.
