Grown Folks Stories
May 21, 2026 - May 21, 2026; 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us at the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center for an unforgettable evening of authentic storytelling, connection, and community with Grown Folks Stories.
Created by Cara Brigandi and Eric Williams, this beloved live experience features two hours of unrehearsed five minute stories told by everyday people from our community. From hilarious moments to deeply personal experiences, each story offers something real, raw, and relatable. You’ll laugh, you’ll reflect, you’ll cringe, and most of all, you’ll feel connected.
There are no themes, no judges, no poetry readings, and no performances. Just real stories shared in real time by nonprofessional storytellers in an atmosphere unlike anything else.
Hosted by Binkey with support from DJ Ravenettcha.
