November 11, 2026 - November 11, 2026; 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center for a special screening of Soul Patrol, a powerful documentary that uncovers the untold story of the Vietnam War’s first Black special operations team.
Directed by J.M. Harper, the film follows a group of African American veterans who reunite to reflect on their experiences serving behind enemy lines. Through personal photographs, archival footage, and firsthand accounts, Soul Patrol explores themes of brotherhood, sacrifice, racial inequality, and the lasting impact of war.
Following the screening, join us for a discussion with Dr. Lionel Kimble, Associate Professor of History and Africana Studies at Chicago State University, as we explore the film’s historical significance and the experiences of Black servicemen during the Vietnam War.
